Biography

I am Mehedi Hasan, currently working Technical Officer in United States Pharmacopoeia (USP) at Dhaka, Bangladesh. I am working with USP since 14 February 2021. Previously I was working as national consultant for Essential Drugs and Medicines in WHO Bangladesh, where I worked for 5 years and I also worked in 2 pharmaceutical industries General and Eskayef. First, I worked in the Pharmaceutical Industry as a production pharmacist, then in the Quality Assurance department as a Senior pharmacist, and as an assistant manager in Global Regulatory Compliance Department. Though, I have diverse experience in pharmaceutical sector, most of the expertise are in the field of regulatory affairs, pharmaceutical policy, regulatory system strengthening, access to medicines, antimicrobial containment and such other public health promotion area. My total experience is now 12 years covering areas of Pharmaceutical Production, Quality Assurance, Global Regulatory Compliance, Strengthening Regulatory systems, Access to Medical Products, and Antimicrobial Containment (AMC). I have completed my graduation, post-graduation from the department of pharmacy Jahangirnagar University, I also have completed Masters in Public Health, from the department of Health Promotion and Health Education, Bangladesh University of Health Science. I have professional training in IPR, TQM, ISO, and Six Sigma from NIMSME, Hyderabad, India.
