Health Informatics Bangladesh (HIBD):

Health Informatics Bangladesh (HIBD) is a nonprofit organization founded in 2021. HIBD

received registration from DSCC, Bangladesh and Joint Stock, Bangladesh in 2023 and 2024

respectively. HIBD received the membership from International Medical Informatics Association

(IMIA) in 2024. Besides that, HIBD is also a member of Asia Pacific Association of Medical

Informatics (APAMI) from 2024.

HIBD is a leading organization dedicated to advancing the field of health informatics in

Bangladesh. Its mission is to foster innovation, collaboration, and knowledge-sharing among

healthcare professionals, researchers, and technologists. HIBD focuses on promoting the use of

health information technology to improve patient care, enhance healthcare delivery, and support

evidence-based decision-making.

The objectives of HIBD are:

▪ To promote and improve the use of information technology (IT) in teaching, learning,

research and delivery of healthcare.

▪ To improve digital literacy of health care professionals.

▪ To foster collaboration with national, regional and international Health Informatics

professional associations.
